Bob McKinnon - Partner

Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Bob has held a variety of group executive, senior executive and board roles in finance, technology and general management across the financial services and property industries. These roles included Chief Information Officer of both Westpac Group (2008 – 2011) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (2000 – 2006), making Bob one of Australia’s leading technology executives of the last decade.

Outside of technology Bob’s senior executive roles have included Joint Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Multiplex Group, Chief Executive of State Street Australia, Chief General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of MLC Group, and Chief Financial Officer of Lend Lease Corporation. Until recently, Bob was also a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair of Alesco Corporation. He is currently a Director and Co-Founder of Mirin Group, a technology strategy advisory firm.

Bob’s multi-faceted and unique career has provided him with a wealth of strategic and operational experience which he now brings to the Mirin Capital and it's Portfolio Companies.


James McKinnon - Partner

Prior to founding Mirin Capital, James spent 12 years working for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Hewlett-Packard (HP) , working to deliver technology solutions to enterprises across a multitude of industries including Financial Services, Transportation and Communications, Media and Entertainment in Australia, Asia & the USA. While based in Singapore for 2 years, he gained extensive experience in how to grow businesses in Asian markets as well as working with offshore teams.

James developed a passion for coding at age 8, which has not only resulted in a number of sleepless nights over the years, but also comes in handy when advising portfolio companies on implementing and scaling their technology stack. 

He is also a Director and Co-Founder of Mirin Group, a technology strategy advisory firm.

Dickson Leung - Partner

Dickson has over 15 years of experience working in management consulting and technology across a range of industries including financial services, retail, telecommunications, airlines and private equity in Australia, as well as in Europe, USA, and Asia.

Before co-founding Mirin Capital, he worked with CVA, a boutique strategy consulting firm, and then Bain & Company where he was a leader within the firm’s IT Practice in Asia, with responsibility for driving practice growth and serving and advising the firm’s largest regional clients on strategic IT issues.

He is also a Director and Co-Founder of Mirin Group, a technology strategy advisory firm. 



Jonathan Woolley - Partner

Jonathan is a co-founder of Mirin Capital, and brings with him significant expertise in strategy, marketing, operations and IT - derived from more than twelve years of entrepreneurial experience.

Prior to Mirin Capital, Jonathan founded IT outsourcing firm Connected Intelligence - which over ten years under his leadership grew to have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Jakarta and Manila servicing diverse industries including banking, finance, FMCG, freight and logistics, manufacturing, mining and professional services. He delivers insight and advice to portfolio companies leveraging his wealth of experience in successfully navigating a business from inception to growth phase and exit.

In addition to his role as Partner of Mirin Capital, Jonathan remains a Director of Connected Intelligence in Australia as well as Hong Kong based incubator 404 Ventures.
